Making Innovators

A Challenge-based Bootcamp

Challenge-Based Bootcamp

Using Design Thinking to enhance learning for children

The challenges that the society faces are getting more and more complex. This means additional new skills are needed to counter them. These skills include the 21st century skills like Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity among others. ‘Design Thinking’ is a powerful problem-solving framework that has already been used in thousands of innovations. We’ve customized this framework to help children aged between 6 and 14 to independently and collectively work through problems to deliver innovative solutions that they can boldly defend.

Activities

EMPATHISE

To create meaningful innovations, you need to know your users and care about their lives.

DEFINE

Defining a problem or challenge based on the needs of users provides focus, informs criteria for evaluating competing ideas and keeps the question in the realm of “actionable.”

IDEATE

Celebrate the power of possibility! Ideate is the space to imagine without judgment a variety of “wild, daring and practical” ideas.

PROTOTYPE & TEST

“Build to think and test to learn.”
Once you have ideas, it is time to experiment with prototypes and thereafter engage in real-life, real-time testing in which the users are involved.
