Background
C4DLab is an innovation hub at the University of Nairobi. This lab was founded in 2013 and began operations in 2015 as the first phase of a bigger complex CC4D (Center of Computing for Development).
The hub works with the entire university community, with a reach of more than 70,000 people, including faculty, students, staff and alumni. C4DLab, in partnership with GIZ under the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI) ran a mobility accelerator in 2020 called “TUMI Startup Accelerator” targeting innovations in urban mobility in Kenya. In the second iteration, partnering with Shell Foundation the acceleration program will expand beyond Kenya and is now rebranded to Africa Transformative Mobility Accelerator (ATMA). The objective of the accelerator will be to support start-ups that offer practical, transformative, well researched and possibly tested solutions to urban mobility challenges in African Cities.
Objective of the Consultancy
The overall objective this consultancy is to produce an eye catching infographic and engaging animated video that captures our key results, successes, impacts and challenges during the project lifetime.
The consultant will be responsible to develop the content of the communication products, establish the contacts with project partners, outline content with AMI Secretariat, coordinate communication with community members and submit the infographic to AMI Secretariat.
Methodology
Consultant selected for this assignment in coordination with WWF team will perform the following indicative tasks:
- Develop the infographic concept and scenario;
- Desk review of critical information in the project, communication and reporting documents;
- Perform appropriate short interviews with the Projects’ major partners, beneficiaries and stakeholders;
- Compile and capture high resolution photos, if necessary to report in the final document;
- Present the draft infographic document to AMI Secretariat for comments;
- Compile comments and submit a final infographic document to the AMI Secretariat.
Expected tasks and Time frame
The assignment timeframe is from July to September 2020.Below are indicative tasks to be completed.
Number of days foreseen for the Consultant on each respective task is as envisaged and can be reallocated to another task where justified and in consultation with the AMI Secretariat:

The duration of the contract will be 15 days of work commencing from July, with completion expected by 10 September 2021.
